Hear the one about the Jewish Governor, farmer, musicians, and comedian
all living in Vermont? It’s no joke. Instead, it’s part of a new,
entertaining and community-building show coming to Burlington called
“So…Jew Live in Vermont?”
In the style of “The Tonight Show,” the stage show will feature Klezmer
music, standup comedy, and interviews with prominent and intriguing Jews
living in Vermont.
“Who knew there were so many of us here in Vermont?” said comedian Jason
P. Lorber, who created the event after two years of his successful Moo-Jew
Comedy, which features Jewish Comedians performing at a Chinese restaurant
at Xmas time. “This show celebrates Vermont’s diverse and colorful Jewish
community.”
Lorber will host “So…Jew Live in Vermont,” and interview Gov. Madeleine
Kunin, organic farmer Mimi Arnstein, musicians Robert Resnik and Gigi
Weisman, and a surprise guest. Also featured will be Klezmer musicians
David Symons and Zoe Christiansen from
Inner Fire Disctrict.
The event will benefit Hadassah, a Jewish women’s organization, and help
renovate the acclaimed Ein Kerem campus of Hadassah Hospital in Israel.
“So…Jew Live in Vermont” begins at 5 p.m. on Sunday, April 6 at the new
Main Street Landing Film House at 60 Lake Street, on the Burlington
waterfront. Tickets are on sale now for $22 at
The Flynn Box Office or 802-863-5966.
Tickets for "Will Call" and
purchase (cash only) will be available at the door starting at 4:30 pm.
